Depression can cause immense damage to the human body. Endorphins are the natural pain killers that are present in the human body. But when you are depressed, the endorphins are affected when someone is in a depressed state of mind. At such times, exercise is usually suggested. Most of us, in fact all of us suffer or go through bad moods sometime or the other. Almost all of the people affected by these mood swings do have a reason for the swings. But then if these mood swings last for more than the usual time, days or weeks, that’s when it is a matter of concern. Under such circumstances, it is advisable to consult a physician. The same is the case for panic attacks and anxiety. Most of the people who suffer from panic attacks also suffer from depression. What is most important is to understand the effects that the panic attacks or depression can have on the people. It may end up making you feel completely worthless and at times, can lead to suicidal tendencies. All of these are perfectly normal if it occurs in moderation but then if it extends over a long period of time, then you should take care of it.

You can feel anxious if your dear one is ill and hospitalized. You worry about their well-being and wonder in
how many days they will be fine. That’s being anxious. In these times of the economic downturn, your organization is downsizing and you end up having dreams of getting the pink sleep. Even this is perfectly normal. But what if you have a perfect life where you have nothing to worry about. And yet, you keep feeling anxious all the time. What could be the reason? The chances are likely that you suffer from depression and each and everything around you can only add up to your state of depression. This can lead to panic attacks. Some of the most common symptoms that you may be going through are excessive sweating, dizziness, shivering, palpitations and the like. Most of the people often tend to think they are going to die when they have palpitations. Basically, both anxiety and panic attacks can lead to depression. People who suffer from depression are more susceptible to heart troubles. These are the conclusions drawn by various scientific researches and studies.

Now that you have looked at the possible symptoms and reasons of depression, it is essential to acknowledge the fact that you are depressed. Most of the people do not accept; rather deny the possibility because of the social stigma attached to it. The reactions of people around you definitely do not have any positive effect on you. However, you should gather the courage and accept the fact that you are depressed. Then seek medical or physiological help so that you can get out of this condition as soon as you can. Some of the most common medical treatments include serotonin re-uptake inhibitors. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that helps all the connections in your brain to occur. Since depression is a chemical imbalance condition, all you are going to do is take some supplementary medicines that help to set the imbalance right. There are also other methods like natural methods and cognitive behavioral therapy that can help you combat depression.
